Calling All Teen Writers !
THE deadline for the Impac Dublin Literary Award for Young Malaysians 2011 essay-writing competition has been extended to April 7, instead of the originally stated March 31.
The competition is open to all Malaysians aged between 14 and 18 as of March 31. This year’s essay topic is “Teenagers Today”.
Entries should be between 800 to 1,200 words and must be in English.
The best overall essay will earn the writer and a parent a trip to Dublin to attend the gala ceremony of the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award 2011, and visit the sites of the city.
Judging of the contest will be based on originality, creativity, and structure of the essay, and all entries must be the original work of the entrant.
