Mari Berjumpa, Mari Berhubung

KUCHING: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who starts his Mari Berjumpa, Mari Berhubung (Let’s Meet, Let’s Communicate) session in Sarawak on March 19, is inviting his online Facebook friends to a special meeting here.

The Prime Minister said that they should register at http://bit.ly/1MMBMB for a chance to receive an invitation.
“I can’t wait to be in Kuching next week for the first Mari Berjumpa, Mari Berhubung session there,” he wrote on his Facebook page today.

Najib’s message was received well by Sarinah Abdullah, one of his friends on the social networking site, who said she had always wanted to meet the prime minister but never had the chance.

“The people of Sarawak patiently await the arrival of our beloved leader. We congratulate him on the visit,” said another Facebook friend, Kamsiah Saufi.
Kamsiah, who wanted to know if the visit is a sign of an impending election in Sarawak, said that she, as part of the election machinery, will work hard to help ensure that Barisan Nasional wins.

Meanwhile, Liew Yun Fah described Najib’s wish to meet his Facebook friends in Sarawak as “an invitation from a caring leader” and said he will join the others if given the opportunity.

Others who responded to the message include Ku Razak Ku Ismail, who described Najib as a people’s leader, while another Facebook friend, Windasay Nyanggai, wrote: “Yes, you are always welcome to Bumi Kenyalang (Land of the Hornbills).”
The Prime Minister and his wife, Datin Rosmah Mansor, visit villages and mingle with locals with stops scheduled in Serian, about 65km from here, and Kampung Semera in Sadong Jaya, Samarahan.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and wife Puan Sri Norainee Abdul Rahman will visit Sarawak the same day. –BERNAMA
